City University School of Liberal Arts supports Memphis City Schools by serving as a college preparatory charter school for scholars attending a low performing high school within a fifteen-mile radius of our campus.
In order to meet this goal and the challenges of affording all scholars access to an academically rigorous program of study, City University School of Liberal Arts does not discriminate in its admissions practices. In compliance with all federal, state and local laws, City University targets all populations within its defined radius, regardless of race, disability, religious belief, ethnicity, national origin or gender.
All scholars of City University School of Liberal Arts are admitted regardless of previous academic record. However, admission is contingent upon each student and their parents’ willingness to sign the yearly Progress Inventory Plan and the Scholar Code of Conduct. Both documents are developed to adhere to the mission of the school, to develop student scholars through scholarship and citizenship.
The initial enrollment period is posted on the application. This enrollment period may be extended or shortened, as required by law, regulation or policy. The Board of Trustees may reconsider the dates of this deadline if it becomes necessary in order to ensure the school reaches the greatest number of families in the community and fills all available seats.
The Application of Admission to City University School of Liberal Arts is available online or can be mailed upon request during the enrollment period (March 21 – July 21).
